Having lived in McDonough for over 40 years and done business with Billy and his father for many of them, I was aware of the excellent service and friendly, family atmosphere at East 81 Automotive. When an out-of-town guest found that on the morning of her departure, her car was dead, I immediately called East 81. Despite their busy schedule, they said that if we could get it there, they would squeeze us in to diagnose the car. We were able to jump start it but when Billy investigated he found that both the alternator and the battery, installed only a few weeks before in FL, were bad. Then, to our astonishment, he offered to call the mechanic who had done the work, which he did and arranged for the expenses to be covered for new parts, including a superior alternator. He then located the needed parts in Riverdale, had them sent here and by 4:00 that afternoon, a very grateful lady was on her way. All this was done with clear and cogent communication and the utmost efficiency and good cheer. Five stars are not enough to reflect our estimation of the service at East 81. I would rate it Five Stars +++!
Took my 2021 HONDA Civic for an oil change today. The staff was very professional and courteous. They were extremely dilligent with their work and to my amazement, they even adjusted the metal plate under my car. I highly recommend this shop and I will no longer bring my car back to the dealership and wait over 2.5 hours for an oil change. Thank you!
The name changed but the team is still there, we are so happy to be able to say that I can send my kids,wife and family to the shop without fear that they will take advantage of them. Real work by real mechanics.
One of the best automotive maintenance places I know of. I've compared prices with other companies and they always are a fair price.
I have been going here to get my oil changed for years now and I will never go anywhere else! Even if I have to wait in line I don’t mind because they move people through so quickly. Once they start changing your oil it takes a max of 10 minutes and I am amazed every time. Even today I needed them to do a tire repair and an oil change and they did them both in about 10 minutes and I was on my way.
